AIM Names The Herga Group as Exclusive Dealer for Australia and New Zealand
Partnership brings AIM’s autonomous earthmoving platform to one of the world’s largest mining markets
REDMOND, Wash. — AIM, the world’s first AI platform for autonomous heavy earthmoving equipment, today announced that The Herga Group has been selected as the exclusive dealer of the AIM platform across Australia and New Zealand. The partnership will bring AIM’s full suite of autonomous capabilities to mining, construction, and infrastructure operations throughout the region.
Australia is home to one of the world’s most concentrated mining economies, with operators facing persistent labour shortages, extreme working conditions, and increasing pressure to improve safety outcomes. As a result, the region has become an early adopter of autonomous mining technology. The Herga Group, which has spent more than 137 years helping organisations across the South Pacific gather, analyse, and use geospatial data, will serve as the on-the-ground partner to sell, install, and support the AIM platform for customers across both countries. With 24 offices and more than 400 specialists across Australia and New Zealand, The Herga Group brings extensive operational reach to the partnership.
“Our customers are asking us how to run safer sites, get more out of their existing fleets, and keep production moving when they can’t find enough operators,” said Tim McPhillips, Chief Operating Officer of The Herga Group. “AIM answers all three. Their technology works on the machines our customers already have, it doesn’t void warranties, and it’s commercially proven at sites around the world. We’re proud to be bringing it to Australia and New Zealand.”
The AIM platform retrofits existing bulldozers, excavators, and other heavy equipment of any brand, age, or size, turning them into fully autonomous machines capable of operating around the clock in conditions where finding and retaining operators is increasingly difficult. The technology preserves OEM warranties and does not require customers to purchase new equipment. AIM is the only company commercially deploying autonomous earthmoving machines today, with operations spanning five continents.
“Australia is one of the most important mining regions in the world, and the operators there need autonomous solutions that work on the equipment they already own,” said Adam Sadilek, Founder and CEO of AIM. “The Herga Group has built the kind of deep, trusted relationships with customers that you can’t shortcut. They understand the sites, the conditions, and the people. That’s exactly who we want representing AIM in the region.”
The Herga Group’s existing relationships with mining operators, construction companies, and equipment fleets across Australia and New Zealand position them to help customers adopt AIM’s three-step analytics-to-autonomy process, which begins with fleet data and analytics, progresses through safety and productivity tracking, and culminates in full autonomous operation.
